Serving in a creative format.

My upbringing was steeped in the ideal of service and a work ethic borne of grandparents who experienced The Great Depression and its after effects. Growing up in the Central San Joaquin Valley of California, the natural wonder of the Sierra Nevada and the Pacific coast provided endless inspiration, and still do. Each of the background photos on the various pages is one I took here in California.

I am a fourth generation woodworker. I learned cabinet-making from my dad and uncle. Both of my grandfathers enjoyed woodworking and inspired a love for the craft. Outside of woodworking, my mom brought love for music and other artistic endeavors to my plate. I played saxophone and tuba for many years (and piano for a few looooong months). I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics with an emphasis in philosophy. I have worked in the quietude of a university library and the din of a chaotic shop filled with heavy machinery. I have helped build large public art pieces and I have assembled scale models with tiny details.
